Kea’au

This is our smallest cottage; yet, with its vaulted ceiling and large windows, it is spacious, and you feel right at home!  The front lanai is made private by colorful croton bushes and palm trees, where you can enjoy the love seat, and most certainly enjoy a barbecued steak, or a fresh fish bought from a fisherman at the side of the road.            

Waking up in the morning, you are greeted by morning light from the east window, while the side window by your bed lets in the birds’ morning carols as the palm fronds gently wake you from your peaceful slumber.
           
While there is no stove, plenty of food is prepared in the slow cooker, rice cooker, microwave and a very efficient electric burner, and of course, a coffee maker, along with a blender to make smoothies out of the fresh fruits we leave you, or you purchase at Kea’au Farmer’s Market fifteen minutes away open daily, or from the Maku’u Farmers Market five minutes away on Sundays.

This cottage is frequently sought by a single guest, but is great for a couple, even with a few kids, although that does get a bit crowded.  But, since most of the activities will be outside, it makes for a low cost, serviceable base from which to explore and experience the many sights and activities of the area described in our copyrighted “Deep Hawaii Adventures” book.

We’ve had many stay as they do short-term contract work; even had a man for seven months, who enjoyed it so much, that he even continued to stay here even though his work took him an hour and a half away!  And, when his wife came over for a visit, we filled the cottage with flowers to welcome her.
