![]() Jervis Bay (really the Coral Sea) on the south coast of NSW. Booderee means 'bay of plenty' or 'plenty of fish' in the language of the Aboriginal community that administers the park. The forest is dryish, with many varieties of tall eucalyptus, or gum trees. Because it's so open, it was easy to spot birds here, and we had our first glimpses of many that became favorites. (Well...actually...of the 140-plus species of birds we saw in OZ, nearly all became favorites!) |
