This is where I started in Hawaii when planning to move from New York. A month’s stay was made so very comfortable in this welcoming hale. You’ll find it that way, too. The gardens are nice, and sitting at the dining room table, the sliding glass doors and very large windows invite the outside foliage and flowers to join you, making all your meals a bit more special.
Two bedrooms and two baths were great when my daughter and family came to visit us. Each family had its own bath; a nice feature when couples travel together (which also saves a lot of money for accommodations)!
What a convenient place to be: ten minutes to Pahoa town with 21 restaurants and eating places, stores, food market; ten minutes to Lava Tree Park; 20 minutes to Kapoho snorkeling tide pools, or hot ponds, or Jungle Road. What a great place for active families who will enjoy exploring, efficiently, with the “Deep Hawaii Adventures” book. And, there’s boogie boards, snorkel gear, picnic box, portable chairs to take along … just to have even more fun.
